David Drabkin

David Drabkin’s thirty-six years in federal procurement has given him a unique perspective on how to address the challenges facing the Government’s ongoing procurement efforts.  Recently, Dave served as the Chairman of the Section 809 Panel where he led the charge to streamline and improve the defense acquisition system and has served as the Administrator for the Council of Defense and Space Industries Association.  Dave was also appointed by President Bush to serve as a member of the Section 1423 (SARA) Panel and has served as a member of the GSA Multiple Award Schedule Advisory Panel. 

Dave also served as the Corporate Director of Contracts for Northrop Grumman, and as the Senior Procurement Executive and Deputy Chief Acquisition Officer of the US General Services Administration.  In this position, he served as one of the FAR signatories, where he supervised the Federal Acquisition Institute and the Integrated Acquisition Environment.  

Prior to GSA, Dave served as the Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition Reform and the Deputy PM of the Pentagon Renovation project, as well as numerous other positions with the Defense Logistics Agency, the Defense Contract Management Agency, and the United States Army throughout the US and Europe.

 

Dave’s professional accolades include: NCMA’s Charles A. Dana Distinguished Service Award; Public Sector Partner of the Year Award; the President’s Meritorious Senior Executive Award; the Fed 100 Top IT Executives (x2); AFFIRM’s Leadership Award in Acquisition & Procurement; the Department of Defense Exceptional (x2) and Meritorious Civilian Service Awards (x2); the Defense Logistic Agency’s Meritorious Civilian Service Award; and, the Department of the Army’s Meritorious Civilian Service Award, among others.
